In Congress I will fight to:
· Support a strong military
· Ensure our veterans get quality health care at the VA
· Protect Americans from terrorists at home and abroad
The freedom that we enjoy every day in our great nation wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t for the service and dedication of our men and women in uniform – and the many who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
In recent times, we are seeing more threats to those freedoms around the globe. Our national security, economic security and family security is threatened by terrorists and rogue regimes.
Terrorist organizations, like ISIS/ISIL, threaten the safety of American citizens and must be defeated. We need to do everything we can to combat these terrorists abroad as well as heightening our security domestically to protect our nation from an attack.
As our military men and women protect America’s greatness, they are being treated as second-class citizens by their own veterans’ agency. I find the current goings on at the Department of Veteran’s Affairs deeply troubling. Long wait times accompanied with allegations of bureaucrats “cooking the books” at the VA are simply unacceptable.
Our veterans deserve the very best. And as a member of Congress, I will work tirelessly to ensure they receive just that.
Throughout my career I have had the honor to work with service men and women around the world on a variety of military issues. I will use this experience to best serve our military and veterans in Congress.
